National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) carried out during the period 12.02.2024 – 10.05.2024, at the level of the entire country, a series of verification actions a moduleuicompliance with the legal provisions for the sale of new vehicles with thermal/hybrid/electric engines through dealerships, car dealer networks, car parks, profile websites, as well as the sale of second-hand cars through the same networks.
The control aimed 414 economic operators la 321 among them there are deviations from the legal provisions înforce.
The irregularities FOUND were sanctioned as follows:
- 293 contravention fines, worth about 1,5 million lei
- 202 warnings
- temporary stop from marketing, to remedy deficiencies labeling a 117 vehicles.
The most important abattery from legislation encountered during control actions, at the companies that sold new vehicles:
- lack main por characteristic written on the product label: product name, technical characteristics, consumption
- lack menuui cars written in Romanian
- lipsa possibilitiesATIII selection, respectively the configuration, in Romanian, of the volume
- lack display the price expressed in lei of motor vehiclesor displaying it in euros, without being mentioned the exchange rate
- lack of mention of price differences depending on the color of the vehicle

- non-conformities in the drafting of sales-purchase contracts
- lack postercountry consumeui fuel environment ortypeui its
- lack of information on battery life or autonomy for electric cars
- non-compliance with the promotions regime.
In the case of the sale of second-hand vehicles, the deficiencies found were:
- lack of operating permits or authorizations
- lack of mandatory information labels, country of origin, list of owners, lack of registration and lack of damage history
- lack display the price expressed in lei of motor vehiclesor displaying it in euros, without mentioning the exchange rate
- providing non-compliant warranty certificates.
