ANPC temporarily shuts down two seaside amusement parks

The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) carried out, as part of the Coastal Command 2024 - a structure specially created by the institution to monitor the market in the holiday area on the Black Sea shore -, together with the representatives Territorial InspectorateISCIR and the Limanu Town Hall, Constanța County, a series of control actions that targeted recreational locations in the locality area.

They were sanctioned 2 economic operators, Popescu Business Family SRL and Luna Park Popa SRL, for irregularities in the operation of amusement parks, as follows:

- contravention fines worth 10.000 lei
- prohibition of the use of devices până to remedy the deficiencyțelor
- temporary stoppage of services, până to remedy the deficiencyțthose found, for both economic operators.

The deviations from the legislation in force identified were:

- lack of authorizationcountries for recreational equipment
- use of recreational equipment without ISCIR inspections (for operation and safety), fact that endangers the health or life of users
- the use of damaged recreational equipment with peeling paint, broken bungee netting, trampolines and rust on safety elements, excessive wear of elements or even the absence of elements that ensure the safety of consumers
- using recreational equipment that has undergone unauthorized modifications
- lack of consumer information regarding the name of the equipment, the correct way of use șwarn themărilor regarding potencyțother dangers îduring useădevices
- the lack of grounding in the case of electrical equipment, this putând put îlife in dangerța șand surețof consumers.

"Offering leisure services to consumers, especially children, through technically unverified amusement parks for more than 7 years, with improvisations and damaged devices, is proof of irresponsibility on the part of the economic operators in question.

We recommend that, before using such equipment, you check the information displayed by the provider, as well as the condition of the devices, and do not use them if you notice any tampering, damage or difficult operation.

Avoid improvised installations, so as not to put your and your children's lives in danger!
