The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) carried out, as part of the Coastal Command 2024 - a structure specially created by the institution to monitor the market in the holiday area on the Black Sea shore -, together with the representatives Territorial InspectorateISCIR and the Limanu Town Hall, Constanța County, a series of control actions that targeted recreational locations in the locality area.
They were sanctioned 2 economic operators, Popescu Business Family SRL and Luna Park Popa SRL, for irregularities in the operation of amusement parks, as follows:
The deviations from the legislation in force identified were:
"Offering leisure services to consumers, especially children, through technically unverified amusement parks for more than 7 years, with improvisations and damaged devices, is proof of irresponsibility on the part of the economic operators in question.
We recommend that, before using such equipment, you check the information displayed by the provider, as well as the condition of the devices, and do not use them if you notice any tampering, damage or difficult operation.
Avoid improvised installations, so as not to put your and your children's lives in danger!
The Romanian coast has authorized, verified and safe amusement parks for consumers, and the state authorities constantly monitor the safe operation and according to the legal requirements of spaces of this kind” – Sebastian Hotca, interim president of ANPC.
