Following the control action carried out at a fast food in sector 2 of the Capital and the major irregularities detected there by the team of commissioners of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), the vice-president Mihai Culeafă proposes to periodically check these types of establishments, given their importance for people on the move, in a time crunch, or with limited financial possibilities.
Thus, in the context of the end of the vacation period and the intensification of activity in Bucharest, control teams coordinated by the vice-president Mihai Culeafă, will supervise the way in which the pretzel shops, patisseries, shaormeri, within the radius of the Capital, carry out their activity, so that their regular customers, workers , taxi drivers, pupils and students and other social categories, regular consumers of the mentioned locations, to benefit from normal service conditions.
"I remember the time when I got into business and traveled the length and breadth of the country. Not infrequently, together with our drivers, we would stop and eat on the run, at a pretzel shop or a pastry shop. We were also regular customers of these quiches, and I remember with great pleasure the Dobrograna pie, which is my favorite.
Now, since I participate in the control actions, together with my colleagues, I see things differently. Even the last control, on this topic, from the shaormeria in sector 2, made me realize that things are not always right, in such spaces dedicated to public food.
Even today there are many people who, on their way to work, quickly buy something to eat on the way or during their lunch break.
And because these locations are numerous, small, but with a lot of customers, we have to make sure that the services offered to consumers are at the level of those provided by a restaurant.
That's why I invite everyone who notices problems to send me, on my facebook account or on my phone number 0727.333.363, specially dedicated to consumers, pictures or information about the location where they see that things are not right and immediately we will check the location accordingly.
Until then, every day, I will be on the field, together with my colleagues, to personally see how these activities are carried out" - Mihai Culeafă, vice president of ANPC.
